The conversation that's missing in our lives
When's the last time you asked someone how they're doing and they responded, "terrible"? We've gotten used to connecting with others when things are “great” -- especially on social media, home of the infamous beach selfie. But what do we do when things are not-so-great?
We all struggle. When we do, we don't post about it...we go it alone. This affects our mental health and a reason why 50% of us will have a diagnosable mental health condition at some point in our lives.
Imagine if we could tackle our troubles by clicking a button and matching with others who're dealing with them too -- so we could have a doctor-designed-discussion over the phone -- where even our voices were changed so no matter how stigmatizing the topic, we could keep it real. When the parts of the story that are usually left out are included -- we gain insights from each other that can make all the difference.
